What is Hifz?

Hifz (حفظ) means memorization — specifically, the memorization of the entire Holy Quran. A person who has memorized the complete Quran is called a Hafiz (حافظ). Memorizing the Quran is one of the greatest acts of worship a Muslim can undertake, and the Prophet (PBUH) said that the Hafiz will intercede for ten members of his family on the Day of Judgment.

Our online Hifz program is designed to make this noble goal achievable for students worldwide — whether they are children, teenagers, or adults. Our structured approach ensures steady progress with strong memorization that lasts.

How Our Hifz Program Works

1

Assessment Class

Your teacher assesses your current Quran reading level, pronunciation, and Tajweed to create a personalized memorization plan.

2

Daily New Memorization (Sabaq)

Each class begins with reciting new memorized verses (Sabaq) to the teacher, who corrects pronunciation and Tajweed in real time.

3

Recent Revision (Sabqi)

The student also revises the last 7 days of memorization (Sabqi) to keep recent portions fresh and strong.

4

Old Revision (Manzil)

Older portions are regularly revised (Manzil) to ensure previously memorized Juz are never forgotten.

5

Weekly Progress Report

Parents receive a detailed weekly report on new Sabaq completed, revision quality, and teacher feedback.

Hifz Course — Frequently Asked Questions

What age should a child start Hifz?+

The best age to start Hifz is between 7 and 10 years, when children have strong memorization ability and enough focus for daily lessons. However, we have students of all ages including adults who successfully memorize the Quran. It is never too late to begin.

How long does it take to complete Hifz?+

Most students complete Hifz in 2 to 4 years with 5 classes per week. The pace depends on the student's age, consistency, and daily practice time. Students who revise regularly at home alongside classes complete it faster with stronger retention.

Does my child need to know Tajweed before starting Hifz?+

Yes. Students must be able to read the Quran fluently with basic Tajweed before starting Hifz. This ensures the memorized verses are correct from the beginning. We offer Noorani Qaida and Tajweed courses to prepare students who are not yet ready.

Do you provide female Hifz teachers?+

Yes, we have qualified female Huffaz teachers for girls and sisters. All our female teachers have memorized the complete Quran and are experienced in teaching Hifz online to students of all ages.

Can an adult become Hafiz through online classes?+

Absolutely. Many of our adult students are successfully memorizing the Quran through our online program. Adults may take slightly longer than children, but with consistent daily practice and our structured revision system, adult Hifz is completely achievable.
